Want some help with your literary concoction? Sometimes, an outside eye can help you move past a sticking point, or maybe just help you get started in the first place.
I've worked as a TA with new creative writing students at UBC, taught workshops on writing effective dialogue in prose and plays, and currently instruct and mentor young playwrights at Capilano University. I've also done literary editing and dramaturgy for friends and colleagues on various projects ranging from stories, non-fiction, poems, novels, and plays, all at various stages of development.
I view writing as a process (dramaturgy comes from the Greek that literally means "the process of working on drama"); I enjoy working in an atmosphere that is respectful and collaborative. My goal with any literary editing and/or dramaturgy is to help you make your vision of your work clearer and more effective.
Contact me know if you'd like to work together. Rates are negotiable.
